Forklift Attachments Hamilton - George Hamilton, who was the son of Queenston founder and entrepreneur, Robert Hamilton; created the town of Hamilton, Ontario. George Hamilton bought the land from James Durand, who was a local Member of the British Legislative Assembly after the War of 1812. Initially, the town was not the most influential centre of the Gore District, however as the city grew, more and more famous buildings were built, especially in the 19th century. During the year 2001, Hamilton City was formed from the merger of the Regional Municipality of Hamilton-Wentworth and its six municipalities: Ancaster, Hamilton, Dundas, Flamborough, Glanbrook, and Stoney Creek.

The city of Hamilton love its sports. It is home the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum, and has played host to the prestigious Canadian Open golf championships four times. The local team in the city is the Ti-Cats or the Tiger-Cats Football team, who have played in the city of Hamilton for over 135 years. For recreational activities, it's safe to say that Geography defines Hamilton City. One thing to watch out for is the Niagara Escarpment, a United Nations World Biosphere which cuts through the middle portion of the city of Hamilton. It is well-known for providing visitors and tourist's trails, vistas and waterfalls. Lake Ontario and Hamilton Harbour provides recreational activities like for example parks, trails, and boating. Bird watchers can find the city a haven of wildlife and exotic birds, since Hamilton is amongst the major areas for bird migration. In addition, Hamilton city has about 65 waterfalls, that makes it the "City of Waterfalls" in Canada. It is said that Hamilton city has a lot more waterfalls compared to any other city of its size within the globe.

Within the city of Hamilton, there are several tourist attractions to be enjoyed, including the African Lion Safari, that features over one thousand exotic birds, live animal shows, Misumu Bay Wet Play, and a lot more. There is also the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton. This museum is home to more than 40 aircrafts from the second World War to military jets. Also presented in the Heritage Museum are vintage aircraft flying, restaurants, displays, guided tours, gift shops, and a lot more. The mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hamilton is the Cathedral of Christ the King. Christ's Church Cathedral is the church of the Anglican diocese of Niagara, that dates back from the year 1835. Confederation Park offers Wild Waterworks, Lakeland Centre, Hutch's Restaurant, Lakeland Go-Karts, Baranga's on the Beach, Adventure Village, and Hamilton Beach Trail.

Manufacturing is the most essential economic activity in Ontario, and the Toronto-Hamilton region is considered to be the most highly industrialized part of the country. 60% of Canada's steel are produced by Dofasco. Another major player in the scene is Stelco, and in the latter part, the United States Steel Corporation. This has made Hamilton the "Steel Capital of Canada." During the year 2003, the city began making a thirty-year growth management plan that plans to erect a massive industrial park centered all-around Hamilton Airport. The proposal, that is referred to as the Airport Employment Growth District, is being primed to be the solution to the city's shortage of employment lands.
